Specific Rules for Nature Critique
- Acceptable Nature images are honest presentations with VERY LIMITED digital manipulation of living, untamed animals, uncultivated plants in natural settings, natural habitat, geology and diverse natural phenomena.
- Human elements ("the hand of man") should be absent except in very limited circumstances (see specific rules at the link below).
- Cultivated plants, domesticated animals, bird feeders, sidewalks, cages and other unnatural elements will likely result in disqualification of the image.
- The focus should be on story telling about a small aspect of nature — expansive panoramics are likely to be disqualified as scenics.
